Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature, it will never fail you.
- Frank Lloyd Wright

My Secret Garden After...

The pennyroyal mint planted around the path gives off a nice mint aroma when you walk on it. There is always something hidden among different plants.

My Secret Garden Before...

Entrance into my secret garden...We laid old red brick for a meandering path to a shed and gate. The entrance blocks were from a Frank Lloyd Wright house (The David S. Wright home).
The garden was planted with a variety of herbs, vegetables, flowering shrubs and trees. All to welcome the butterflies and hummingbirds. It was a welcoming spot for my free roaming tortoises' (Lucy, Prince and Rosie) and Box turtle ( escape artist...Houdini). It is important that a garden touch on as many of our senses as possible.
